After telling my friends about the pains about trying to learn the violin, all of them going "hey, it's not that difficult", I told them that the violin I have does not have the tape thing on the neck to show the notes. Then they said, why don't you just tape it then, then I said, cause it's government property (I loaned it from the public library, which is owned by the provincial government). Now, one of them is giving me her violin (with the tape on the neck) because y'kno the usual:
Went abroad, decided to continue practicing their instrument, bought one, suddenly there's no time or interest anymore to continue practicing, maybe pick it up again in 3 months then put it down again; so she's giving it to me.
All I have to do now is to go to her place and pick it up, then go to some music store and fix it (because it's also broken and she didn't bother to fix it, that's why she doesn't play it anymore I guess). Not trying to say she's bad at taking care at her stuff. No, she's recently graduated biochem in honours and is now studying for her masters. According to her instagram, whatever free time she has she goes back to her boyfriend's place outside the city (her bf is a local), so there's that.
People that play the violin has some level of class y'kno!
