Last last weekend, I went to the yarn store (apparently we have a yarn store here) and basically talked about getting into knitting. I have a friend who personally knits (she's all the way in the UK though) and she recommended me to start with acrylic. I talked to the lady at the store about it. She asked me to start with some cheap wool instead. My friend said acrylic is best for beginners because it's easier to fix your mistake. The cashier agrees, but has a counterpoint: It's acrylic. I personally have some bad experience with acrylic clothing so I decided to listen to the cashier instead.
Bought some knitting needles and some wool. She showed me some pdfs of some beginner's knit so here I goooo!!!

Last weekend, I've decided to start knitting. I kept on trying and trying but the damn needle kept on bothering me (I bought the corded knitting needles because the cashier told me it's easier to knit with it). I've been attempting to put the yarn through for half an hour but the cord kept on getting in the way! And I was like "did I just get conned?" It was super frustrating. I decided to look up for some solutions online and I found this one minute video which helped me so much!
She did specify to use a wider circumference of a pot but I didn't so it didn't fully uncoil itself. Ehehe.... After uncoiling, I decided to take my frustration off by reading some comics I borrowed from the library. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol1 and 2 by Alan Moore. Apparently there's vol3 and 4 but the library doesn't have it. Sobs.

So this weekend, I decided to continue what should be done. I spent an hour on the damn thing but I kept on messing up.

| Something ain't right. |
I was watching the video on 0.25 speed, and yet I still find the lady in the video too fast. I am constantly stuck at the same steps, where you're supposed to loop the yarn around and then make a new loop or something. She goes super slow everywhere else but that step. I can't seem to get it right!
The good news is that now, I am very good at unraveling. I did learn it through the hard way though. My initial experience of unraveling the whole shebang was treating it like a dead knot or something. The problem is the other end of the yarn is literally a ball, so I can't go through conventional means, and then things got super messy. After spending I think about 30 minutes unraveling (total time, not one sitting), something finally clicked and it's more like a shoelace and all you gotta do is pull.
Right now my progress is 0 still. Maybe next weekend I'll get further!
