Final Stretch Part II

Classes have just ended. I have finally submitted in all leftover assignments and what not. It is time... to face my final battle... The Final Exams. If I do not fail, I am finally finished with my undergraduate studies.

Honestly, throughout the week, didn't do anything special much. I basically have been typing up loose ends. Despite having only 5 days left in class, lots of them have assignments due at the end of the week (Friday to be precise). That's very annoying because it means that we wouldn't get our marked assignments back because classes are over, so we can't go through them. Yes, they'll upload the solutions online, but I still wouldn't know what I did wrong.

The SEO video is now finished. It is extremely cringe worthy. It still needed to be greenlight by my boss but I believe she'll greenlight it no problem. In fact, she'll love it. I originally wanted to share it with you guys here but it's just so awkward, I'm seriously reconsidering it. I'm currently working on the film for the IO though.

We've recorded everything already, now it's just up to me to edit and cut em up and put em together. Might have to re shoot, I felt like his persona was a bit too cold for what's supposed to be a welcoming video.

Some stuff happening on the last day of school too. Professors are retiring and what not. The professor that brought me around Germany 2 years ago was one of them.

Today, most of us, who had taken his class once in our lives, invaded the last class of his academic life. He's been working as a professor for 33 years, and he said he never felt bored, he really loved what he did, but it's time to retire. One of his students (who I went to Germany with too) set up this surprise farewell party. That last class was supposed to be 10 minutes of briefing on finals, and then just some final class celebration, when suddenly all of us just bust into the door, and then we did some German Christmas karaoke. It was nice to see everyone again actually. I used to hangout with most of these people for an entire month in Germany. Shared a room even.

Funny story about our German field school. The guy to girl ratio was about 3:1. So when it comes to dormitories, the girls gets like around 4 rooms? The girls were split evenly pretty much. The guys though, all of us were cramped into this one room. There was no air circulation, and Canadians have some amazingly strong body odour. Most of them slept in their underwear because summer in Europe is really really hot. The guy I was sharing the bed with tends to scratch is balls during his sleep, and he also flips around a lot. So its not really nice to be slapped by his ball-scratchen hand in the middle of the night every time.

Anyways, we got him a teddy bear, some chocolates, 2 bonsai trees (cause he loves plants), and a bookstore gift card, because he always mentioned about the things he wants to read but he has no time. He said: "Now I can finally read what I want to read rather than what I have to read" when receiving the gift card. Nice.

My other work place had a staff party too. It's just a cake during lunch time. Immediately after that it's back to work!

I've also decided to start bullet journal-ing starting December. It just seems nice, and could probably bring order in my extremely messy life right now. Do check out what bullet journal-ing is though! I'd describe it as a mix of journals and Excel, but on paper. Now, onwards to finals! Huzzah!
