- Darkest Dungeon (I didn't get the DLC though, I wanna play through the base game first before getting all the DLCs)
- Into the Breach (Turn-based mech action? Made by the guy who made FTL? Count me in!)
Have not played Into the Breach yet, gonna play Darkest Dungeon first. It feels like the enemies are kind of "sentient", they are constantly going for my glass cannons. Please! For the love of it, go for the crusader standing right in front! Don't go for the healer at the third row, or the arbalest equipped with the super rare trinket that boosts her attack damage, they can't take much damage! Other thing is, you start the game with two characters: the crusader fella and the highwayman fella. Oh boy, my highwayman can't hit anything. When he hits, he crits! Nice! Unfortunately, he keeps on missing (or the enemies keep on dodging his attacks), really annoying!
So they have this light system, where it gets darker every time you move. And as it gets darker, the system basically starts stacking against you. You can counteract this effect by keeping the place lit by using torches. Unfortunately, torches takes up space in the inventory. There are also abilities that also when used in combat, increases light by a small amount. Then there's the crusader, who has the ability to basically +25 light (out of 100) while in combat. Can only be used once per combat, but light doesn't keep on ticking down when you're in combat.Theoretically speaking, if I put two crusaders with the protect skill, I technically don't need any torches right? Since both of them would +50 light / battle.

Spent my Saturday at Starbucks. My classmate asked me:" Hey, are you one of those people who studies at Starbucks?" "Now I am, ever since I know he works there," I said, pointing at my other classmate. She laughs, and talked about how having a professor as a husband gives her access to so many of those online resources. She actually doesn't have to buy any textbooks because she (or her husband) has access to the online portal where they not only have the online textbooks, but also the instructor's manual edition! Jealous!

Anyway, Saturday was basically Starbucks day. Sat in there, got a free drink from my friend (he works there as stated from somewhere before), and just did my assignments. Apparently, Starbucks is such a popular place to study that they have allocated "study" tables. That table is brightly lit and the height is of regular desk height rather than those strange cafe heights. He also brought me lots of those brand new overpriced Christmas snacks... for free! He has telling me how amazing it is that people come in here to pay $2 (before tax) for a little donut-lollipop. His break time is my break time; I'll stop whatever I'm doing and just talk to him. Funny enough, I would say 1/3 of our conversation is about the assignments (classmates!), and the other 2/3 is just.. random conversations. It's kind of sad and funny that every time that he just began his break, 10 minutes later suddenly a whole crowd of customers walked in. He's one of the more experienced baristas, so he gets very worried when he sees the crowd.

Sunday was my relax day. Slept in (and by slept in I meant lay in bed till 9am) and basically laze around the house. Played some games, watched some shows, and then I thought, it's time to conquer the cinnamon rolls again. Failed the first time, I wasn't experienced at all the first time; failed the second time, so I try again; failed the third time, this time the outcome was worst than the first two, no idea how; so fourth time the charm yeah?
I must say, the fourth attempt was definitely better than the third attempt, but it's still a failure. The dough is so sticky is stuck to everything. It stuck to the board, my apron, my hands, the counter, the potatoes that were on the counter that I was going to cook for dinner, it was everywhere. It's so sticky I couldn't do anything much with it.

It's... it's an extremely demoralizing feeling. I was super excited to finally get it right this time. I was basically hyped for the entire week, going "YEAH, I'M GONNA MAKE SOME ROLLS THIS WEEKEND AND I CAN FINALLY SHARE IT!". Well.... literally during the entire dough part, my heart was slowly crumbling, felt like a failure. I pretty lost my appetite and... kind of my will to do anything... didn't wanna cook, didn't wanna watch my shows, I literally felt like crying my eyes out at the kitchen. And then my housemates came back home, so yeah, not gonna do that. Why can't I get it right? If I can't get this right, what else am I not getting "it" right? Ugh... it's just... so depressing...
Anyway, I found out there's this band that just released a new album, and I love it. Been listening to it throughout the night. Gonna work on my Duolingo then off to bed. Night, or morning, or good day, but it's good night for me.
